The Database of MEMOS Projects

The MEMOS project

The MEMOS Project is the cornerstone of your academic journey in the MEMOS programme and carries the greatest weight in your final evaluation. Through this project, you have the opportunity to deliver a lasting impact on your organization, your sport, or the broader development of sport within your country — strengthening the management of the Olympic Movement worldwide.

You can choose any issue you wish to investigate as long as it relates to management, has the approval of your Sports Organization and can be implemented at the end of your research.

Project Requirements:
You will produce a written document — such as a report, strategic plan, or action plan — which you will defend during an oral examination at the end of the programme, before a panel of three supervising tutors.

Support and Resources:
To help you succeed, MEMOS provides:

  • Expert Tutoring: You will be assigned a specialist in sport management with experience in Olympic sport. Regular meetings, both in-person and online, will guide your progress. It is important to establish an effective working relationship with your tutor early on.
  • Research Training: Lectures and face-to-face supervision sessions are built into the intensive study blocks to enhance your research skills.
  • Learning Materials: Access a range of organizational research resources via the Brightspace learning platform.
  • Professional Network: Tap into a vibrant community of MEMOS graduates, ready to share their knowledge and experience with current participants.

The MEMOS Project is your opportunity to drive real change — and to advance both your professional career and the Olympic values in the world of sport.
