MEMOS IX in French Madella Award
Since 2008, MEMOS Graduate projects have been considered for the prestigious Madella Award. Each language session has a slightly different schedule for their Madella Awards: MEMOS in French awards their Madella winner the following year.
The Madella Award recognizes a project graded as high distinction, which includes:
- Having a strong purpose and research question to address a problem the host sport organization or system has.
- Being properly theoretically grounded.
- Having appropriate data collection and analysis methods.
- Drawing meaningful findings that contribute to addressing the research question.
The most important criterion, however, is developing realistic recommendations and a strong, feasible action plan that will positively impact the host sport organization or system.
In Lausanne, Ms. Nicky Van Rossem of Belgium (MEMOS IX). presented her project to the Memosians of MEMOS X in French. Her project titled, “Les services de soutien à la double carrière recontrent-ils les besoins des athlètes belges de haut niveau sur leur chemin vers la retraite sportive?” was selected for the prestigious Madella Award.
Congratulations Nicky Van Rossem!
