2025 MEMOS in French Madella Prize
Since 2008, MEMOS Graduate projects have been considered for the prestigious Madella Award.
The Madella Award recognizes a project graded as high distinction, which includes:
- Having a strong purpose and research question to address a problem the host sport organization or system has.
- Being properly theoretically grounded.
- Having appropriate data collection and analysis methods.
- Drawing meaningful findings that contribute to addressing the research question.
The most important criterion, however, is developing realistic recommendations and a strong, feasible action plan that will positively impact the host sport organization or system.
MEMOS in French has awarded this year’s Madella Award to Olympian Gévrise Emane of France!
Her thesis project is titled: “Support for athletes’ life projects, a key area of international cooperation for the Institut National du Sport de l’Expertise et de la Performance”.
From Ms. Emane,
“My aim:
– Demonstrate that APVA (athlete life project support), which is a component of sports performance, is handled in a “hand-sewn” manner at INSEP with a dedicated department
– Emphasize the need for exchanges with European and global structures on this theme
– Open up to potential international collaborations
– Promote INSEP’s expertise in this field internationally”
Congratulations Ms. Gévrise Emane! We look forward to seeing this work continue with INSEP.
