Mr. Juan Diego Blas of MEMOS VII in Spanish, President of the Athletes Council of the Americas Paralympic Committee and Co-Founder United Play International attended the International Paralympic Committee Athlete’s Forum in Bonn and Duisburg, Germany this June.

From Juan Diego Blas: “The IPC Athletes Forum was an amazing experience, as a MEMOSIAN it was beneficial for me as they explained how the IPC works and it was very related to what we learned in our Masters Program. It would be great for future MEMOS Cohorts to include some of the IPC management and the Paralympic Movement. It was a great time to make new connections with other athlete representatives in the world. As the president of the Americas Paralympic Committee, I returned to work very motivated for even more energy toward the paralympic movement in my region and to develop the athletes’ voices in their NPCs. MEMOSIANS who are para athlete representatives in their countries, make sure not to miss the next IPC Athletes Forum in 2027.
