The organization of the European Youth Olympic Festival – EYOF Skopje 2025 had an exceptional strategic importance for Macedonia—both in terms of sport and at the national level. For the first time, our country hosted the largest multi-sport youth event on the Old Continent, which was a direct confirmation that we were prepared to organize events of European caliber. Through this organization, we not only invested in infrastructure, but also invested in our future—in young people, in sport, in human resources, and in the international reputation of the country.

We expected a true Olympic atmosphere, and that is exactly what happened, Skopje and Kumanovo became centers of youth, energy, new friendships, and experiences. More than 4,000 young athletes from 50 different European delegations competed, while various languages were heard throughout the streets, and smiles, flags, team colors, cheering, and celebrations filled the cities.

This event provided an opportunity for the local population to experience sport in a way we had not had before. Activities were organized in public spaces, alongside cultural events, music, and entertainment. A special, positive, and inspiring energy was created, encouraging our children to engage in sport and adopt an active lifestyle.
