Impact Award: By Olympic Solidarity

On the second day of the MEMOS Convention, the new Impact Award by Olympic Solidarity was introduced by Director James Macleod  and Angelica Castro.

In order to be considered for the award, your MEMOS Project must meet the following criteria:

  • Long-term sustainability and adaptability
  • Challenges overcome during implementation
  • Impact on people and communities
  • Enduring legacy beyond individual involvement

The nominees for the 2025 Impact Award were:

HENRY NÚÑEZ NÁJERA from Costa Rica. A graduate of  MEMOS VIII (2004) EN with his project: “Scholarship Program For Elite Athletes in Costa Rica”.

SILVIA BEATRIZ DALOTTO from Argentina. A graduate of MEMOS XIX (2015) EN with her project: “The Promotion of Values through the NFs in Argentina”.

SLAHEDDINE BOUDHINA from Tunisia. A graduate of MEMOS VII (2016) FR with his project: “Approche stratégique et mise en œuvre”.

MANUEL PARGA LANDA from Spain. A graduate of  MEMOS VIII (2019) ES with his project: “Strategic Sustainability Plan”.

JESSÉ MEDEIROS from Brazil. A graduate of MEMOS XXV (2022) EN with his project: “The Impact of my MEMOS Project: Structuring a Coach Development Program for the Brazil Olympic Committee”.

Each nominee had 7 minutes to present their project and its journey from conception to implementation. After their presentation, the audience was given a link to vote for the best project.

By the end of December 5th, the votes were in. At Olympic Center Giulio Onesti, President Kirsty Coventry presented the Olympic Solidarity Impact Award to…….
